Our Tobaccos

Señorial use filler-tobaccos all from The Dominican Republic, from Tabacalera Palma’s own farms. Furthermore, the cigars are made at Tabacalera Palma, the newest member of ProCigar.

Señorial also use some imported tobaccos to fulfill Jose’s blends – A Habano seed wrapper from Ecuador and a Binder from Esteli, Nicaragua.

The Ecuadorian Habano seed wrapper-tobacco gives the cigar earthiness, spice and much flavor with a pleasant aroma. It is a rich and oily wrapper with great combustion.

The binder-tobacco from Esteli, Nicaragua, comes with earthy and sweet flavors.

Tabacalera Palma is owned by Jose Blanco’s first cousin Jochi Blanco, and was previously owned by Jochi’s father, Arnaldo Blanco. This factory was founded in 1936 within the Blanco-family and remains in the family.

Tabacalera Palma’s tobacco all go through very thorough fermentation and aging processes. Jochi believes in the enhanced qualities of well-aged tobaccos, no matter which tobaccos and primings.

Jochi makes sure to overlook himself his farms, the barns, the curing-process as well as the fermentation, and finally the aging in which he is very much involved hands-on directly.
